HaveFun Karaoke outlets, ranked

HaveFun runs ten karaoke outlets in Singapore and they are not interchangeable. Which rooms are newest, which run latest, and how the rate works.

Here are all ten HaveFun karaoke outlets in Singapore, ranked from best to worst, with how the price really works. They share a name, a songbook and a rate card, but the rooms are very different: one is the newest karaoke room in Singapore, one stays open until 6am, one hands out blankets, and one is the only outlet you can walk into on your own.

The price, and the catch

HaveFun advertises $5++ per person per hour, Monday to Friday, with free-flow soft drinks when you book two hours, at every outlet. It doesn’t apply on public holidays and can’t be combined with other offers.

Two things to know. The “++” is a 10% service charge plus 9% GST, so $5 comes to about $6. And the offer only covers the first block of time. After that the room goes back to about $28 an hour, which the poster doesn’t make clear.

So for more than about three people, book by the room rather than per person. The room packages include the free-flow drinks anyway.

The ranking

1. SAFRA Yishun — the best rooms in the chain. There are two screens, one at each end, so nobody has to twist round in their seat, and you queue songs from your own phone with a QR code instead of crowding round one tablet. It has the best sound in the chain and an outdoor area for a break from the noise. The front desk is quick but not especially friendly, the timer is strict — you can’t add songs once your time is up — and there is nowhere to charge a phone.

2. The Seletar Mall — the newest outlet, with bright screens, sound that reviewers praise, and twenty rooms. It also has the cheapest hour in the chain, around $5 a head before 5.30pm with free-flow drinks. Cow Play Cow Moo is on the same floor for anyone who doesn’t want to sing. The air conditioning is very cold, and food can be slow at busy times, so order early if you’re paying by the hour.

3. Cineleisure Orchard — the flagship, with the best equipment. Rooms have a panel to change the lighting, some have a dart machine, and the sound is clear with no echo. Book the room and eat somewhere else, because the buffet package is disappointing. The air conditioning is controlled centrally and staff bring shawls rather than turn it down, so take a layer.

4. Pasir Ris Mall — the best choice for a group that has never done karaoke before. There are pool tables and dart machines in the room, and the front desk explains the charges before you book — what each package covers and when the rate changes. There is a two-hour minimum, no outside food except birthday cakes, and a corkage charge if you bring a bottle.

5. SAFRA Toa Payoh — the only outlet you can walk into on your own. Alongside the private rooms there is an open mic area and live band nights, so you can come by yourself and sing a couple of songs without booking a room. There are darts and a pool table too. Drinks are expensive — four pints comes to more than eighty dollars — so the soft-drink packages are better value.

6. Suntec City — large, clean rooms, and it gives out blankets, which helps in a room you can’t warm up: the temperature panel on the wall doesn’t work. The food is basic, you still order with a call button, and it is busy enough to be worth booking.

7. Bugis Cube — the chain’s biggest outlet, taking up the whole sixth floor, with rooms for fifteen and twenty-five people. It suits family gatherings and work nights, and the song system is quick to use. This is where the two-hour offer catches people out most often, and the walls are thinner than in the better rooms, so you may hear the group next door.

8. Bugis+ — the smaller and quieter of the two Bugis outlets, with two handheld microphones and a standing mic, a fuller food menu and beer by the jug. HaveFun’s live music bar is upstairs in the same building. It is a separate booking, and people do go to the wrong one.

9. Lucky Chinatown — big rooms at lower prices than Orchard Road, a good VIP room, and quiet enough on a weekday afternoon to walk in when the central outlets are full. The rooms are showing their age: some lighting effects don’t work, the microphones are worn and the walls are thin. Check the mics and lights when you’re shown in, while it is still easy to ask for another room.

10. 313@Somerset — open until 6am, later than any other HaveFun and later than almost any karaoke room in Singapore. The furniture is the most worn in the chain, but at 4am nowhere else is open.

The ranking is for the rooms themselves. 313@Somerset comes last but is still the answer late at night, and Lucky Chinatown comes ninth but is still a good choice for a big group on a budget on a weekday.

Rates and promotions change often — the $5++ weekday rate was confirmed on HaveFun’s own site on 10 August 2026. Check before you go. If something on one of our listings is out of date, tell us.
