The Mind Cafe (Prinsep St Mega Store)

Closed right now Bras Basah $ Budget
Pixel-art illustration of two groups playing board games at wooden tables in a busy games cafe, floor-to-ceiling shelves of boxed games beside them and a counter at the back.

The Mind Cafe’s Mega outlet on Prinsep Street is the largest board game cafe in Singapore by library size, with a collection running to around 800 titles.

The pricing is the other half of the appeal: entry includes free-flow drinks and snacks rather than charging for them separately, with cheaper student rates on weekdays and evening packages for unlimited play. There are meal packages if you want a proper dinner alongside. Staff will pick something for you and teach the rules, which is the thing that makes a library that size useful rather than paralysing.

It suits large groups and anyone who wants to try games they would never buy. The cafe has been running since 2005, so the collection has depth rather than only recent releases. It stays open until 3am on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the few places in town to put a long evening once the restaurants have closed.
