A karaoke room in Cuppage Plaza runs until six in the morning. A photo studio off Orchard Road never closes at all, and a climbing wall in Tampines keeps going until quarter past three on a Friday night.
There is plenty to do in Singapore after midnight that has nothing to do with drinking. Here are eight places that stay open late and work just as well for a family or a group of teenagers.
๐ธ Another Booth โ open 24 hours
Another Booth is a self-photo studio on level 5 of Orchard Plaza, and it never shuts. You walk through four themed rooms in turn: a sakura room, a convenience store, a baseball club and an izakaya.
It is self-service. Scan a code to start, take your photos, pick the ones you want, and the digital copies come with them. Two minutes from Somerset station.
๐ฎ ME Cafe & Games โ open 24 hours
ME Cafe & Games on Tanjong Pagar Road rents private rooms with PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, well over a hundred games between them, a board game library, and mahjong tables that shuffle and deal themselves. There is perler bead crafting too, where you place the beads into a pattern, fuse them and take the finished picture home.
You pay by the hour per person, and there is a cheaper overnight package if you turn up after 10pm.
๐ค Cash Studio (Cuppage Plaza) โ until 6am
Cash Studio opens at 1pm and does not close until six in the morning, about as late as anywhere in Singapore gets. Rooms run from a small one for four people up to a large one that seats twelve, two floors underground behind Orchard OG.
You pay per person for a two-hour block with soft drinks included, and a third hour is cheap on the quieter nights.
๐ง BFF Climb (Tampines) โ until 3:15am on weekends
BFF Climb at Tampines Yoha keeps its walls open until quarter past three on Friday and Saturday nights, which nowhere else in Singapore does. There are walls you climb without a rope over matting, and taller ones with a rope, and the harness comes with your entry.
There are no showers, so wear what you are happy to travel home in. Six minutes’ walk from Tampines West.
๐ฒ The Mind Cafe (Prinsep Street) โ until 3am
The Mind Cafe holds about 800 board games, the biggest collection in Singapore, and stays open to 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. Drinks and snacks are included in the entry price.
Staff will pick something out for your group and teach you the rules.
๐ณ Starbowl (Bukit Batok) โ until 3am
Starbowl is inside the HomeTeamNS clubhouse at Bukit Batok, and it is both the cheapest bowling in Singapore and one of the latest, running to 3am on Friday and Saturday nights.
With 24 lanes you can usually walk in and get one, even at midnight on a Saturday.
๐ค Teo Heng โ until 2am
Teo Heng is a fun family-friendly karaoke chain, and most of its 14 branches are open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. You hire the room by the hour, and you bring your own food and drink in with you. Alcohol is the one thing not allowed.
๐น๏ธ Cow Play Cow Moo (Suntec City) โ until 1am
Cow Play Cow Moo in the basement of Suntec City is open to 1am every night of the week, not only at weekends. Several hundred claw machines fill the front of it, and behind them sits one of the deepest rhythm game rooms in the country.
Three things to check before you go
1. The MRT stops around midnight. Anything here running past 1am means a night bus or a taxi home.
2. Last entry comes before closing time. Several of these sell fixed sessions, and the last one starts an hour or more before the doors shut.
3. Late hours are usually weekends only. Most of these keep ordinary hours from Sunday to Thursday.
