Game Up

Closed right now Chinatown $ Budget
Pixel-art illustration of two people on a sofa playing a football game on a wall-mounted screen, a couple at a board game on a table further back and a flower-covered staircase along the left wall.

Game Up sits up on level three of a Temple Street shophouse, and the games are not only board games. Mahjong tables, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, and a dartboard sit alongside the shelves, so a group that cannot agree on one thing does not have to.

You pay by the hour per person and the rate covers free-flow drinks and snacks, so there is nothing else to buy once you are in. Staff will ask what you tend to enjoy and pull something off the shelf for it, which is worth using if nobody in the group knows what they want. It is a small, comfortable room rather than a hall.

Overnight sessions can be booked as well as hourly ones. If this one is full, Pixels and Pieces is a few streets away in Chinatown.
