Starbowl is a 24-lane alley on the third floor of the HomeTeamNS clubhouse at Bukit Batok, and it is among the cheapest places to bowl in Singapore. Games start a little over two dollars for members, students and seniors, and under three for anyone walking in off the street.
Twenty-four lanes is a lot for a clubhouse alley, and it is the practical advantage here: you can usually get a lane on a Saturday without putting your name down and waiting. The setup is plain rather than themed, which is what the price buys. The other draw is the end of the week — Friday and Saturday run to 3am, well past when most alleys in Singapore shut, while the rest of the week closes at midnight.
It suits students, families and anyone in the west who bowls often enough that the per-game price is the thing that matters. The clubhouse around it has a laser tag arena and food, so a visit can be more than bowling if the group wants it to be. Friday and Saturday evenings are both the busiest stretch and the latest one; a midweek evening is the easier way to get a lane.
