Splattify is a messy-play art studio on level 3 of VivoCity, built around two zones: a Paint Factory and a Slime Lab.
This is not art jamming with a canvas and a brush. The point is to throw paint, squeeze it, splatter it and get thoroughly covered, with the slime side adding texture play to the colour. Protective gear is handed out on arrival, and the paint is water-based and washes off — worth knowing before you agree to it. It is also made without egg, dairy, soy, seafood, shellfish, wheat or peanut derivatives, which matters if allergies are a factor.
It suits young children and families above all, and it works for birthdays because the mess is the entertainment rather than a side effect. Children under twelve need an adult with them. Bring or wear clothes you have written off, and factor in time to clean up afterwards rather than heading straight to dinner.
