Am I Addicted is a Korean pottery studio on level 5 of Orchard Central, and one of the few places on Orchard Road where you can sit at a wheel for an afternoon.
Classes split between wheel throwing and hand-building, both running about two hours, with a shorter trial session if you want to find out whether the wheel suits you before committing. There is also pottery painting for anyone who would rather decorate than throw. Instructors work with around six students at a time, the clay is brought in from Korea, and there is a wide range of glaze colours to finish in.
It suits couples, friends and families — children’s sessions run alongside the adult ones — and it is the most central pottery studio in the city, which is much of its appeal. Wear something you do not mind marking, because clay travels further than you expect. It closes on Mondays.
The pink button on this page books a wheel for less than the walk-in price.
