Kallang Bowl has 22 competition-standard lanes running until midnight every night, with touch-screen scoring at every one and a spread of ball weights wide enough that nobody is stuck with the wrong one. Bumper rails come up on request, so a lane works for children without turning the game into a novelty for the adults.
Games are cheap off-peak and rise sharply at busy times. The lanes themselves are kept in good order; the scoring displays above them are older and show it. There is a drinks machine on the floor and a cafe attached.
The counter is the weak point, and specifically the lane rules. Small groups are routinely put on one lane rather than the two they asked for, even when the alley is nearly empty, and the policy is applied firmly rather than flexibly — so agree what you want before you pay, and expect to be held to a minimum number of bowlers per lane. Closing time is not reliable either: the posted hour and the hour the counter actually stops taking players can be an hour apart, so do not arrive late in the evening expecting a game. It is on level 2 of Leisure Park Kallang, sharing the building with the ice rink.
