SkyHop by Yooland (Tampines Point)

Closed right now Tampines $$ Mid-range
Pixel-art illustration of three young children on a multi-level indoor play frame, one climbing, one coming down the slide with both arms up and one running beside the ball pit, ride-on toys parked along the front.

SkyHop by Yooland is one of the highest-rated indoor playgrounds in the east, and the Sky Trail is why: a harnessed rope course two storeys up, with hanging stepping pods, wobbly bridges and balance beams, routes of increasing difficulty, crew watching from below and a neon-lit climbing wall to finish on. That part is for fives and over.

Underneath it is an ocean-themed ball pool of tens of thousands of balls wrapped around a central tower, which you climb by spiral net tunnel and drop back into, with twin racer slides and a wide wave slide landing in the same pool. There is also a pastel bead pit for anyone wanting something gentler, a bank of trampolines that run games on a screen while you jump, and a two-storey maze of ramps, crawl tubes and rope bridges joining the five zones together. Socks are compulsory.

A three-year-old and a ten-year-old can both find their own level here. Entry is sold by the hour or as unlimited playtime, and families do stay half a day on the latter. Parents sit at tables at the edge of the play area rather than round a corner. It is at NTUC Income at Tampines Point, a few minutes on foot from the bus interchange, and weekends fill it up — weekday afternoons are the quiet stretch.
