HaveFun Karaoke (The Seletar Mall)

Open now Sengkang $ Budget
Pixel-art illustration of three friends in a small silver-and-neon karaoke room, one singing while the other two sit with a jug of beer and fries on the table.

HaveFun at The Seletar Mall runs one of the cheapest hours of karaoke in Singapore: about five dollars a head before half past five on a weekday, with free-flow soft drinks included. Two people can sing for an hour for about twelve dollars between them.

It is also the newest room the chain has opened, and everything still works the way new equipment does — the sound is clean, the screens are bright, and the catalogue is current across Mandarin, English, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and Malay. Twenty rooms run from small to large in the chain’s futuristic fit-out.

It suits families and student groups in Sengkang and Punggol who would otherwise travel into town, and it pairs easily with the Cow Play Cow Moo arcade on the same floor for a group where half the people would rather not sing. Two small warnings. The air conditioning is fierce even by this chain’s standards, so bring a layer for anything over an hour. And food can be slow at busy times, which matters when you are paying by the hour, so order early rather than mid-session. It is on level 4 in Sengkang, a few steps from Fernvale station.
