Here’s where to play Floor Is Lava in Singapore: the three best venues built around it, how the game works, and what to wear so you aren’t turned away at the door. It is the childhood game of staying off the floor, played on light-up tiles that know when you’ve stepped on the wrong one.
More than a dozen venues on our list now have a lava floor, but most have it as one game among many. The three below are built around it.

How it works
The rules are much the same everywhere. Blue tiles are your targets — step on them to clear them. Red tiles are lava, and stepping on one costs your team a life. Green tiles are safe, but they disappear. The whole group shares one set of lives, so one careless player can end the game for everyone.
The levels get faster as you go. A session is about 20 to 25 minutes, and it is more tiring than it sounds. Many reviewers expected a children’s game and came out sweating.
The three best
🌋 Triggered Games — Cineleisure, Orchard
The biggest. There are six game rooms, with Floor Is Lava as the main one, plus Hide & Seek, Press It!, Hoops Madness and Hexa Blast. There is also a “Disco Lava” version with club lighting that changes colour.
Reviewers say Floor Is Lava and Hide & Seek are the two to play, and they often mention the staff who run the games by name. The minimum age is 6, children aged 6 to 12 need an adult with them in the room, and Press It! and Hoops Madness are for 13 and over. Most people recommend booking two sessions if you want to get through the levels.

👁️ INMERS PLAY — City Square Mall, Farrer Park
The one with a Squid Game theme. There are three games: Floor Is Lava Pro, Tip Top and Devil Eyes. Devil Eyes is Red Light, Green Light with a giant watching eye instead of the doll, and the lava room here has a Squid Game version where you must be on green when the music stops.
Parents like it because you choose the difficulty, so a six-year-old and a competitive adult can play in the same room. It is connected directly to Farrer Park MRT. Several reviewers warn that Tip Top is the hardest game here, harder than it looks.

⚡ Overworld Lava — Orchard Central
The cheapest, from about $10 a head on weekdays, and the one with a laser maze. There are three games: Floor Is Lava on light-up tiles, a laser maze you duck and crawl through, and Tap Tap, which tests your reactions. The lava room here uses a wall as well as the floor.
Overworld has three outlets. This one is for physical games, and its Kallang Wave Mall outlet is mainly VR, with a lava floor alongside free-roam VR and a motion ride, which suits a group where half want to play VR.

Six things worth knowing
- Wear covered shoes. Most venues turn away slippers, sandals, Crocs, heels and anything open-toed.
- Wear sportswear. It is real exercise, and jeans are uncomfortable.
- Smaller groups get more playing time. With a full room, you spend a lot of the session standing on a safe tile waiting. Two to four people get more turns.
- Book ahead, especially at weekends and in the school holidays. Some venues ask you to pay online when you book.
- Off-peak is cheaper — usually Monday to Thursday and Friday daytime. SAFRA, HomeTeamNS and PAssion card holders can often get another 15 to 20% off.
- Arrive ten minutes early. The safety briefing comes out of your game time if you’re late.
Check with the venue before you go. If something on one of our listings is out of date, there’s a “Something wrong with this listing?” form at the bottom of every one.
