Chao K Party (Bugis)

Chao K Party is a space-themed karaoke studio on North Bridge Road opposite Bugis Junction, spread across two floors above the street.

The look is starship — electric blue light strips, metallic grey walls — and the rooms are well kept with a sound system people rate highly for the price. Charging is per person for a two-hour package from about $16, with extra hours at a few dollars each, which makes a long session unusually cheap if the group stays put. The song library is wide and covers more languages than most places this size.

It suits birthdays and group nights out, and it is among the better-value rooms in Bugis that you would still want to photograph. Food and drinks bought inside are priced well above the room rate, so it is worth eating first — Bugis has no shortage of options within a few minutes’ walk. Open until 3am daily.
