VR WORLD (Sago Street)

VR WORLD runs officially licensed Ubisoft escape games — Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia — which no other operator in Singapore carries. Sessions run fifty minutes and the Ubisoft games are pitched steeply enough that most teams will use the hints before the end.

Beyond the escape rooms there is a VR arcade taking up to ten players and VR laser tag for up to eight, so a group too big for an escape room still has something to do together. Almost everything here is built for teams rather than solo play, which is the reason to arrive with people. A seating area with refreshments gives you somewhere to wait between sessions.

Worth knowing about the room itself: the play areas sit in one large open hall divided by curtains rather than in separate rooms, so it gets loud, and you may find yourself shouting to coordinate with your own team. Staff watch the escape games and step in with hints, which rescues a stuck group and can frustrate one that wanted to work it out alone — say which you would rather have at the start. Book ahead, because the last slot is taken an hour before closing. Sago Street is a few minutes from Chinatown station, in the middle of enough food to make an evening either side of a session.
