Hue Your Days

Hue Your Days is a craft studio on the third floor of The Yards in Joo Chiat, built around painting ready-made ceramics rather than throwing your own.

You pick a piece off the shelves — plates, bowls, mugs and figurines — paint it, and leave it to be fired, so what you collect later is finished rather than raw. Alongside the pottery painting the studio runs embroidery and stamp-making sessions, which makes it one of the few rooms in Singapore where a group can do three different crafts in the same visit. It is small and deliberately cosy, which suits dates and family groups better than large parties, and the staff are relaxed about a group sharing one piece rather than insisting on one each.

It opens Wednesday to Sunday and closes Monday and Tuesday: 11am to 5pm midweek, to 7pm on Friday and Saturday, and 1pm to 7pm on Sunday. Book ahead rather than turning up, because the studio is small, and questions are answered over WhatsApp.
