Escape @ Science Centre is the Science Centre’s own escape room, built around STEM puzzles rather than padlocks, at its Jurong East site.
There are three games. Museum of Humankind casts you as the last people alive, Shangri-La sends you after a lost friend, and Dr. X is an escape from a metaverse — the hardest of the three, carrying mild horror and an eighteen-and-over rating. The first two take a minimum of two players, Dr. X three, and the rooms use physical effects like moving floors and ball-filled enclosures rather than only locks and clues.
The thing that makes it worth the trip: an escape room ticket includes admission to the Science Centre itself, so a sixty-minute game turns into a full day if you want it to. Children under twelve need a paying adult with them. It suits families with older children and school-age groups more than horror-seeking adults.
