Wan To Play Capybara Creek is an indoor playground at Leisure Park Kallang, and it is the small one in the chain: four zones, where the other branches run to seven or a dozen. Pretend play is what it does best.
That corner is stocked properly, with a vet’s, a cafe, a supermarket and a kitchen, so a child can spend the whole session shopping, cooking and treating animals without climbing anything. The rest is a ball pit with three slides running into it, one of them four lanes wide so a family can go down side by side, a sandpit filled with soft beads rather than sand and scattered with buckets, xylophones and rotating wheels, and four small trampolines set apart so nobody lands on anybody. A short obstacle course runs alongside. The capybara is a motif rather than an attraction.
It is clean and brightly lit, and it is built for younger children — an energetic nine-year-old will exhaust it quickly. If you plan to follow a small one around, the tunnel slide is a squeeze for an adult. Playtime is bought by the hour, and the chain’s membership works at its other branches too. Kallang Ice World and Kallang Bowl are both in the same building for anyone who has outgrown this.
