FunTan Singapore KINEX is an arcade in the basement of Kinex, about seven minutes’ walk from Paya Lebar station.
It is built for rhythm players. There are four maimai DX cabinets, two Chunithm, a Taiko no Tatsujin and a row of Wangan Midnight racing machines, and the equipment is kept in better condition than the category usually manages — the buttons and shifters are tight, and the newest maimai cabinets are current generation. The floor is quiet and there is room to move around it. You buy a card rather than tokens and top it up as you go, and plays come in under a dollar, which is why people cross the island for it.
If you are here to grind rhythm charts, the room is set up for it, and the staff are quick to sort out a card that will not read. The maimai cabinets sit in two groups at opposite ends, so a queue on one side does not mean a queue on both — worth a look down the room before you join the nearer one. If you came for prizes, set your expectations lower: there are claw machines, but the floor is built around the cabinets and the prize side is a sideline.
