Our Art Studio (PLQ Mall)

Our Art Studio is on level 2 of PLQ Mall, and you can either be taught here or left alone with a canvas — it runs both.

Turn up for an art jamming session and you get a canvas, paints and the run of the materials, then paint whatever you like at your own pace. Book a class instead and an instructor takes you through it properly, on a course built to a syllabus, and they run those for children and adults alike. You can also book the place out: a children’s art party, an afternoon for the office, or a commissioned piece painted to order if you would rather own the painting than make it. Art supplies and craft materials are stocked on the shelves too, so you can pick up brushes or paper without booking anything at all.

It stays open late enough at weekends that you can start after dinner, which is the quiet slot — weekend afternoons are when it fills up. Call ahead if you want a taught session rather than a walk-in jam, because the classes run to a timetable rather than on demand.
