Jewel Music Box at HomeTeamNS Khatib is a karaoke studio on the fourth floor of the clubhouse, a few minutes’ walk from Khatib station on the North-South Line.

You book a room as a three-hour block, and the free-flow hot and cold drinks and snacks come with it rather than landing on a bill at the end — which is what lets a long afternoon here cost less than you would expect. The rooms are fitted with more than a microphone: board games, dart boards and drinking table games sit alongside the sound system, so a group of ten stays occupied when only three of them actually want to sing. Book online for four people upwards; a smaller or a larger group needs a phone call instead.

Eat before you come. The snacks are simple, included-in-the-rate fare rather than a spread, and there is no bar bill to run up either way. If the three hours run out and you want more, an extra hour is arranged by phone and depends on the room being free after you — so settle that early rather than at the end of the night, when the answer is more likely to be no.
