HaveFun at Bugis+ is on level 3 of the mall, a few minutes from Bugis station, and it is the smaller and calmer of the chain’s two Bugis rooms.
Rooms are nicely lit in the chain’s style and come with two handheld microphones and a standing mic, which matters more than it sounds when a group wants to sing together rather than pass one around. The food menu is the fuller kind — snack platters, popcorn chicken, mid-wings, crispy chicken skin, and beer towers by the jug — and it is ordered to the room rather than fetched. A group of four eating and drinking properly here lands somewhere near seventy dollars a head; the same four on a soft-drink package pay a fraction of that.
Bugis is the one part of town where the chain competes with itself. The Bugis Cube outlet is a few minutes away and considerably larger, so there is a fallback if this one is full on a Friday — and weekends do fill, with two-hour caps applied when they are fully booked. Worth knowing that the same building holds HaveFun’s live show venue upstairs, which is a music bar with performers rather than a private room, and a separate booking entirely. People arrive at the wrong one.
