Singapore Oceanarium
Singapore Oceanarium is the aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa, rebuilt on the site of the old SEA Aquarium and reopened in July 2025. It is around three times the size of what it replaced, and the route runs through 22 zones rather than a single hall.
The centrepiece is the Open Ocean habitat, an 18-million-litre tank behind a 36-metre glass panel with seating in front of it — most people sit down here for longer than they planned. The zones around it work through prehistoric seas, coastal shallows, the seafloor and The Abyss, where the animals are the ones living off whale falls on the bottom. The collection runs to roughly 100,000 animals across 800 species. There is a research and learning centre in the building, and some tickets add a behind-the-scenes session.
It suits families, couples and anyone wanting a few hours indoors out of the heat, and the whole route is air-conditioned. Young children do well here, though the darker zones can be a lot for the very smallest. Tour groups arrive through the middle of the day, so the early and late ends are calmer — there is a cheaper late-afternoon ticket if you would rather see it quiet than see it all.
Either way, the pink button on this page comes in below the gate price.
