Skyline Luge Singapore is a gravity-powered ride down four outdoor tracks on Sentosa, part go-kart and part toboggan, with no engine involved. The course runs down the hillside between Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Beach, and a chairlift called the Skyride carries you back to the top, so every run ends with a view over the island and the sea.
The four trails — Jungle, Kupu Kupu, Expedition and Dragon — run between 628 and 688 metres, through tunnels, hairpin corners and long straights in the rainforest. Dragon is the longest, and the one pointed at experienced riders. Rides are sold in combos of two, three or four rather than one at a time, which makes sense: a single luge plus the Skyride back up takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and one run is rarely enough to compare tracks.
It suits families, friend groups and first-timers, mainly because you set your own speed — a nervous rider can crawl down while somebody else races. Children ride alone from six years and 110cm, or tandem with an adult from two years and 85cm, and staff steer the under-eights onto the Jungle track. Mornings are the quiet stretch and late afternoon the busiest. It is all outdoors, so thunder stops it, and there is a night version with the tracks lit up and music playing — worth checking that’s running on the evening you go.
