Universal Studios Singapore
Universal Studios Singapore is a movie theme park at Resorts World Sentosa, built around a central lagoon with seven themed zones running off it. It opened in 2011 and covers about 25 hectares, which puts it in full-day rather than afternoon territory. It is the only Universal park in Southeast Asia.
The zones are Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Minion Land, which opened in 2025. Six roller coasters run across the park, including the paired Battlestar Galactica coasters in Sci-Fi City — one seated, one hanging underneath — and Revenge of the Mummy, which runs indoors in the dark. Between them sit the Transformers and Jurassic Park rides, and stunt and street shows through the day.
It handles mixed groups better than most parks here, because the range runs from the carousel and swing rides in Minion Land to the two Battlestar coasters. Height limits apply on most of the bigger rides, so check them before promising anything to a small child. Weekends and school holidays are the busy stretch, and an express pass is sold separately if you would rather not queue. The shows run to a timetable, so it is worth picking two or three and building the day around them.
Book through the pink button on this page and the ticket costs less than at the gate.
