Teo Heng KTV (The Star Vista)

Teo Heng KTV at The Star Vista is the west-central branch, on the ground floor of the mall beside Buona Vista station and within easy reach of NUS, one-north and the campuses around them.

Rooms follow the chain’s pattern — four, six and ten seats, priced by the room by the hour from about $13 before 7pm and more after. Guests bring their own food and drink, no alcohol, and the rooms are non-smoking and plainly furnished. The catalogue is wide across English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean, if not always current with the newest releases.

Students make up much of the crowd, alongside families earlier in the day and work groups in the evening. It is one of the chain’s busier branches, so the hours before 7pm are both cheaper and easier to get a room in — worth knowing if you have a group to organise. Bookings are by phone only.
