Sonic Bowl at Our Tampines Hub is in the basement of the community hub, with interactive lanes that project effects onto the approach and track the ball as it runs.
It is the late option in the east: lanes stay open past midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, when most alleys nearby have shut. The centre was refitted rather than built new, and the interactive lighting is the main difference from a standard alley — the pins and the scoring are ordinary enough.
The building around it holds a library, swimming pools, a food court and a Timezone arcade, so a group that does not all want to bowl has somewhere else to be. Tampines station is a covered walk away. For a private lane with karaoke, the chain’s Choa Chu Kang branch has a VIP room; this one does not.
