Timezone Hougang Mall is the arcade you go to when you are not making a trip of it — three thousand square feet on level 4, recently fitted out, and twenty minutes is about right. What fits is the core of the offering: claw machines, redemption games feeding the prize shop, driving simulators, dance and rhythm cabinets, and a VR setup.
Being new, everything is in good condition, and the floor staff are used to children and quick to help with a card or a jammed machine. It works best as the reward at the end of an errand rather than the reason for one — after school, or after the supermarket.
The big-attraction end of the chain is not here: no bowling, no bumper cars and no party room, so a birthday needs a larger floor. For anyone in Hougang who wants half an hour of machines without crossing the island it is considerably more convenient than the alternative, and it rarely carries the queues the town outlets do.
