Timezone Causeway Point is the north’s main arcade, on level 7 of the mall directly above Woodlands MRT and the bus interchange.
The floor is the neon-lit sort, built around games rather than attractions: rhythm machines, boxing and basketball cabinets, a Dragon Storm shooter, and Ultra Moto VR, a motorbike racer you sit astride rather than stand in front of. Claw machines run along the walls with plush and collectable lines, and the redemption games feed a prize shop.
It suits families and teenagers in the north who would otherwise cross the island for an arcade, and the convenience is real — seven floors straight up from the station, with no walk in between. There is no bowling and there are no bumper cars, so a birthday built entirely around this outlet would run out of things to do. As somewhere to spend an hour after school or after shopping, it is well judged. Weekends and school holidays are busy from lunchtime.
