Wild Wild Wet is where the serious slides are outside Sentosa. Torpedo drops you through a near-vertical tube at up to 70km/h, Royal Flush swings a four-person raft up a wall, and Kraken Racers is a four-lane mat racer you ride head first. Vortex and Free Fall are the other two worth queueing for.
It doubled in size in 2017 and now covers around four hectares, which makes it one of the larger water parks in Singapore. Shiok River is the lazy river, 335 metres around the park, and Tsunami is the wave pool. Younger children have their own end — Professor’s Playground, Kidz Zone and Splash Play, all shallow and slide-based — so a family with a wide age range can split up without leaving the place.
Most of the bigger slides need riders to be at least 1.2 metres, so check that against the smallest person in your group before you promise anything. Life jackets are free to borrow, which takes some worry out of the wave pool. It is outdoors and there is not much shade, so a weekday afternoon is the calmer stretch if you can manage one. The park is at Downtown East in Pasir Ris, a short walk from Pasir Ris MRT. Tickets on the pink button on this page cost less than at the gate.
