UltraGolf @ The Palawan, Sentosa

UltraGolf at The Palawan on Sentosa is an eighteen-hole mini golf course laid out beside the beach — the only seaside one in Singapore.

Each hole has two tee positions, a shorter one and a longer one, which is a small design decision that does a lot of work: a five-year-old and an adult can play the same hole competitively without anyone being patronised. The course is outdoors and open to the breeze, so it is pleasant late in the day and hot in the middle of it. Children from about three can play.

Bring a group that spans a wide age range and this handles it better than almost anything else on Sentosa, with Palawan Beach a few steps away when the round is over. HyperDrive, the indoor electric kart circuit, is in the same complex, so a group that splits on what it wants to do does not have to split up. Bring a hat.
