Oasis Waterpark @ Nee Soon East

Open now Yishun $ Budget
Pixel-art illustration of three children running through the splash fountains at Oasis Waterpark in Nee Soon East, HDB blocks and trees behind them.

Oasis Waterpark is a free outdoor water playground on Yishun Ring Road, built by the town council rather than run as a paid attraction. There is no ticket and no booking — you turn up with a towel.

It covers around 5,600 square metres, which is a good deal more than the splash pad the name suggests, and splits into three spray zones pitched at different ages. There is a mist curtain about three and a half metres tall, ground jets the children set off themselves, a shallow channel to wade along, and a pirate-themed slide with a bucket that tips over the top of it. Off to one side, giant game boards are painted on the ground for snakes and ladders, chess and ludo.

It opened in 2019 and is built for children from about two to twelve, so it suits families in the north wanting a couple of hours out rather than a day trip. There are washrooms, showers and seating for parents, which matters more here than at a park you have paid to enter. Being free, it fills up on weekend mornings; a weekday afternoon is the quiet version of the same place.
