Kidodo Space | VR Galaxy (Suntec)

VR Galaxy is the virtual reality corner of Kidodo Space in Suntec City, and it is one of the few VR setups in Singapore aimed squarely at young children rather than teenagers.

Six machines run short rides rather than long games — a magic carpet flight, a sleigh through snow, that kind of thing — and each is sold individually rather than by the hour, so a child can try one and stop. Staff pick rides to suit the age of whoever is strapping in, which matters when the difference between five and ten years old is the difference between delight and tears.

It sits alongside the Kidodo indoor playground, so the usual visit is a session in the playground with a couple of VR rides added rather than a trip for VR alone. It suits families with primary-school children. Suntec is a covered walk from Promenade or City Hall, which counts when you are pushing a pram.
