Grounded Escape Room (Orchard)

Grounded runs nine escape rooms across both buildings of Orchard Gateway, and it is the operator that leans hardest on live actors.

The line-up is broader than the horror reputation suggests. There is an ICU, an abandoned sanatorium and a morgue at one end, and at the other a Tang Dynasty roleplay room and a hotpot-themed game that is played for laughs rather than fear. Several rooms offer an NPC as an option rather than a fixture, so a group that wants the tension can have it and a group that does not can play the same room without. Games run from around forty-five minutes up to eighty.

It suits friend groups who have done a few escape rooms and want something with a performer in it. The venue was previously called Not Your Business Escape Room, which is worth knowing if you are looking for older reviews. Orchard Gateway sits on top of Somerset station.
