fit · bloc (Depot Heights)

Open now Telok Blangah $$ Mid-range
Pixel-art illustration of two people walking into the fit and bloc shopfront, the lit sign above them and bouldering walls and a shoe rack visible through the glass.

fit · bloc at Depot Heights is boulder problems and nothing else — no ropes, no auto belays, nowhere in the building to clip into. The whole floor is given over to problems across several zones, with a MoonBoard for anyone training and a separate set of routes marked out for children. Beside the board sits a strength corner: pull-up bar, resistance bands, dumbbells and a rail of crimp holds.

It is the quiet one. A weekday afternoon here can be close to empty, which is the trade for a smaller room without the pool and weights floor the Kent Ridge gym carries — and a day pass bought here gets you into that gym and Telok Ayer on the same day anyway. Showers and lockers you set your own pin on are inside the gym, and shoes rent at the counter, so bring socks.

Nothing needs booking: sign the waiver and walk in. Children climb from five, and the supervision rule is strict — one adult to one child, so two children means two adults, and an adult who only watches still pays. Use the toilets before you start, because they sit outside the gym on the shopping-centre corridor. The gym is on the second floor of Depot Heights Shopping Centre on Depot Road.
