HappyWiz (iMall)

Pixel-art illustration of a boy coming off the end of a red and white spiral slide with both arms up, a multi-storey play frame and a ball pit filling the room behind him.

HappyWiz is an indoor playground on the top floor of iMall in Marine Parade, and it uses the height. The climbing maze at the centre runs up several levels, with ramps, padded rollers, hanging obstacles and tunnels, and a spiral slide dropping out of the top of it.

The slides are graded: a four-lane one down the middle for racing, shorter straight ones for preschoolers, and LED-lit ones into the ball pit. Around them sit trampolines with games on screens you bounce against and a wall of light-up building blocks. The most unusual part is the row of role-play stations — a mini farm where children milk and feed model cows, an egg-hatching station, a car repair workshop with tools and overalls, and a stocked pretend supermarket. Toddlers have a pellet pit with a short slide of their own near the entrance.

The ceiling is high enough that parents are not stooping along behind anyone. Primary-school children stay engaged here for a full two-hour session, not just the little ones, and entry is sold in one, two or three-hour blocks. Paco FunWorld is in the basement of the same building for anyone past the age of soft play.
