H:Claw (United Square)

H:Claw is in the basement at United Square, a few minutes from Novena station.

Look into the coin return before you put money into anything here. Some players stuff paper up inside the return slots, so that coins a machine rejects and tokens it pays out collect in there instead of dropping through. They come back later, hook the lot out and play for nothing.

The machines are poor even by the standards of this chain. The claw tightens properly only now and then; the rest of the time it closes on a toy, carries it a short way and opens. There is a number on the cabinets for reporting a fault and it sometimes goes unanswered. If you have come to United Square with children, the Smigy playground upstairs is a better use of an afternoon than a basement of machines that will mostly keep your money.
