Zone X at Lot One has the big multiplayer fish-shooting tables — Ocean King and the machines like it — which draw a noticeably older crowd than the rest of the floor. Around them sit driving cabinets including Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, a basketball machine, ticket redemption games, a long run of claw machines, and maimai for anyone chasing rhythm cabinets out this way.
It is a neighbourhood arcade rather than a big one, and worth walking in with that expectation: the floor covers the basics rather than running deep. Evenings belong to the teenagers, so a weekday afternoon is the quieter time to come.
Sort out a card at the counter before you start. Tickets here are held on a stored-value card rather than printed as you win them, so if you intend to play the redemption machines and keep what you earn, buy one first — without it there is nowhere for the tickets to go. Service is the weak point, so arrive knowing how the system works rather than expecting to be talked through it. The arcade is on the top floor of Lot One, the mall built over Choa Chu Kang station and the bus interchange, so you can reach it without stepping outside.
