Jewel Music Box at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir is a karaoke studio on the ground floor of the clubhouse. It trades on the clubhouse’s own signage as Jewel KTV, which is worth knowing when you are standing there looking for the name.

The format is the chain’s throughout: a three-hour block, free-flow hot and cold drinks and snacks included rather than charged on top, and rooms with board games, dart boards and drinking table games sitting alongside the sound system. HomeTeamNS members take ten per cent off alcoholic drinks on production of a digital membership card, which is the one member benefit attached to this branch.

Make an afternoon of it. Aqua Adventure, the indoor water park, is in the same building, and so is a gaming lounge, so the karaoke works well as the thing you finish on when everyone is already tired. Getting there takes a little planning: about a nine-minute walk from Bedok North station on the Downtown Line, or one stop on buses 23, 137 or 518, with stops on both sides of Bedok North Road directly outside. Bookings run from four people upwards, so a pair has to call the outlet instead.
