Privacy Policy

Effective 31 July 2026.

arcades.SG is operated by Sibyl Entertainment Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore. This policy explains what personal data the site collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the PDPA).

What we collect

When you contact us

The enquiry form on this site — used to claim a listing, ask about featured placement, report a mistake, or get in touch generally — collects:

  • your email address (required, so we can reply)
  • your name, and your phone number, if you choose to give them
  • your message, and which venue it concerns

These are stored in this site’s own database and read by us through the site’s administration screens. They are not published anywhere on the site.

Automatically, when you visit

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, which pages were requested and when. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or faults.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run any analytics or tracking service. The underlying WordPress software sets cookies only for signed-in site administrators. An ordinary visitor is not tracked by us.

Others who receive data because you visited

Some parts of the site are served by other companies. When your browser loads them, it necessarily tells them your IP address. We have listed them so this is not a surprise:

  • GoDaddy — hosts the site and serves it through their content delivery network.
  • Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces are requested from Google’s font service.
  • OpenStreetMap — the map images on our map pages are requested from OpenStreetMap.

Each of these handles that information under its own privacy policy, not ours.

We may in future include affiliate booking links, which would earn us a commission if you book after following one. Following such a link takes you to that company’s website, where their privacy policy applies rather than this one. Any such links will be identifiable as what they are.

Why we use it

  • to reply to your enquiry
  • to check that someone claiming a venue listing is entitled to do so
  • to correct and improve the accuracy of listings
  • to prevent spam and misuse of the site

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Consent, and withdrawing it

By sending us an enquiry you consent to us using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to the contact address below. We will stop using your data for those purposes within a reasonable period, though we may need to keep a limited record where the law requires it.

Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We disclose it only to the service providers described above, to the extent they need it to run the site, or where we are required to by law or by a competent authority.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records while your enquiry is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we have context if you contact us again. After that they are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner. Server logs are kept for the shorter period our host retains them.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used, and you may ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Write to the contact address below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and in any event within the timeframes set by the PDPA. There is no charge for a straightforward request.

Venue listings

Our listings describe businesses, and business contact details are not usually personal data. If you operate as an individual and a listing carries information you consider personal — a personal mobile number, for example — write to us and we will amend or remove it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, administrative access is restricted, and enquiry records are not exposed publicly. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps proportionate to the small amount of data we hold.

Children

The venues we list are often family destinations, but this site is written for adults planning an outing, and the enquiry form is intended for venue operators and adult enquirers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles personal data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
