RAVE Karaoke (Marina Square)

RAVE Karaoke is on level 1 of Marina Square by the drop-off, and it is built more like a party room than a karaoke box — most rooms have a small stage, standing microphones and space to actually move around.

Alongside the singing there are darts, beer pong and arcade machines, so whoever does not want the microphone has something to do. Rooms run up to a social size taking eight to twelve. The decor is neon and futuristic, and the sound gets specific praise from people who have been round the other Marina Centre options. Packages start around $16.90 for three hours, with an unlimited-drinks top-up if you want one.

It suits friend groups and office parties more than families with small children, though there is no cover charge and it is not a club. You can bring your own food in, which keeps a long session affordable. It runs until 3am every night.
