FunEmpire runs booked group activities from a studio on Playfair Road in Paya Lebar, a short walk from Tai Seng MRT. It is a team-building operator rather than a drop-in venue: sessions are arranged in advance for a group, either at the Playfair Road studio or at a venue you organise yourself.

The range is the point. More than fifty activities are on the books, and the physical ones cover laser tag, combat archery, bubble bump, saber tag, poolball and ninja tag. Alongside those sit escape rooms and an amazing race built around clues across the island, and a set of hands-on workshops: terrarium building, leather work, candle making, clay and art jamming. Groups run from around five people up to several hundred, and the studio is air-conditioned and private to whoever has booked it.

It suits work teams and organised groups best — company days out, school programmes and birthday parties are the bulk of what runs here, and the staff facilitate rather than leave you to it. Two people deciding on the afternoon are better served elsewhere. If you are booking, the hard part is choosing: it is worth settling on one or two activities before you get in touch, because the list is long and the sessions are built around what you pick.
